Zhuang Chinese (壮语 zhuàngyǔ) is a language spoken by Chinese people of the Zhuang ethnic minority who primarily live in Guangxi in southern China. It is closely related to both Thai & Chinese, with lots of grammar and pronunciation originating with the former, while deriving much vocabulary from the latter.
Zhuang is the first language I learnt while growing up, and I speak it with my close family to this day. I personally think it is a beautiful language, and while not studied or spoken as much as Mandarin, learning it is a unique and rewarding experience.
